Dundonald Rifle and Pistol club as it is called today has its foundations in a group of local Farmers joining together to train the local Malitia as early as 1913.

Throughout the years many changes have taken place in legislation and operating requirements for Shooting Clubs and the limits within which clubs must operate.

The reputation of shooting and the sport in general suffered greatly from the "Dunblane" incident and its aftermath. Much of that has been redressed and we hope eliminated with much stronger controls in place throughout the sport of target shooting.

We as a club continue to pursue the promotion of Target Shooting at Dundolald with some considerable success and look forward to doing so for many years to come.
